    Love Directions

    Sometimes
    You have to love
    Exactly
    Where
    The dirt is,
    Kiss
    The swollen spider bite,
    Hug
    Almost forever
    Stones
    Big as your bed,
    Quiet at  night
    Walk on the scar's
    Drifting balance beam,
    Before old curtains
    Tired of hanging
    Fall,
    Pulling down ghosts,
    Showing
    Truth
    And dare
    And pure sky
    Writing
    Love
    In it.

  • hmm. interesting.

  • i love the idea of a love that is the dirt w/you! i might borrow that concept sometime soon... if you don't mind!

  • What an amazing piece of writing.  It's so true.. I think it shows that love is not just all happy and shiny, and there is another side, but it all must be appreciated.

  • Ooo, I like it!

  • very lovely...

  • "sometimes you have to love exactly where the dirt is..." where the roots grow? it's easy to love the beauty of the leaves, blossoms, or fruit. it's easy to love the shade the branches and leaves offer. but to love the roots, where the dirt and worms are, where it's almost hidden; that's hard. yet it's the most important part, because that's where it all begins; where the leaves, blossoms, fruits, and shade give birth from.

  • I wondered if I'd ever find you again.
