    Bush sr. and a question...
    (aka the less than stellar press corps strikes again?...)


     


    how many people outside the beltway know what was common knowledge at the time - that the senior bush while pres, spent nights at a woman's house in the adams morgan neighborhood in DC - residents had trouble parking because the presidential limo and accompanying security vehicles took over the block. 


    i kept waiting during the lewinsky business for someone with some guts to break the news but it never happened...  wonder why?


    i am reminded of this by dingus6's blog entry.

  • This was pretty common knowledge and I, a former member of the press, cannot understand why it wasn't the splashy news it should have been. Could it have been that Barbara was so well liked--even though she's a roaring bitch? I don't know.

  • I think i did hear something about that-- in some buried news item somewhere.

  • Perhaps that was still in the days harking back to FDR and JFK, where we liked a good virile president. I think people were worried that he WASN'T having an affair :o p

  • Well the new Bush did something everyone can get along with. More money for better power.
