  • we had books everywhere. my bedframe broke and my father found a stack of books just the right height to hold it up. it lasted for years, until one night! BOOOMMM!!! bed fell down and my mother made him promise to fix it right next time (ie. no books). we took them for granted. buying them now is painful! :)

  • Lily: Don't worry about the poetry experiment with Tom. Just because I'm having trouble reading your experiment, doesn't mean it's bad. I had a short attention span with what I read on screen. I think it's why I'll never be convinced that e-books will succeed.

RYC: I tried those saline washes (neti pot) and found them such an unholy mess that I gave up. I just buy that saline spray now and use it from time to time. I also found a homopathic spray from Heel that I get at a homeopathic store in Evanston. It does some good. I nearly had this thing broken up and then it started in again today. I have to stay constantly vigilant with decongestants and the spray. My holistic doctor also discovered last spring that I had a yeast infection (candida) in the sinuses and it took an anti-fungal drug to get rid of it. I'm not supposed to eat sugar to keep that from recurring, but you know how impossible that is. Basically, this is a day to day thing until the first frost. Every time I go outside right now, my sinuses fill up. It really sucks.
Hope you are doing better with your battle.

  • Hey,

I'm sorry I've not been around to comment - just catching up now, but happy to see you are still full of the same creative fire as always.
